It definitely totally isn’t very much inspired by the Blue Eyes White Dragon, not one bit. It’s obviously just a way to show the diversity of looks Tecktrins can have, that’s it!
I’m very charmed by how the QUIZARD breaks character to offer to escort these guys away bc he knows champion hogs at a casual fun fair are not very fun indeed
Very interesting to me how they say “person and HIS tecktrin” like you can really see how they’re treated more like a sub-class just in the general society
If it makes his Tecktrin buddy feel any better, I just had him as “Champion” in my script. They are /generally/ treated well, most of the time! Butttt, there may still be some lingering language and phrasing that kind of demotes them in a lot of people’s minds.
