Hey do me a favor and stare at this page for like… at least 30 seconds. It took forever. Appreciate me.

i am appreciating it wow!!
And this isn’t even the MOST impressive bit of scenery I do for the series! Though I still love this one too.
I’m very early in but from this page & the background of your website I can already confidently say I really love your background work in this comic 😀 I’m always a big fan of this kind of 50s/60s futurism inspired look
Developing this page was one of my favorites. We didn’t really get to see the city much during the first chapter, so I was dedicated to packing in as much as I possibly could to this frame. Much of the inspiration, especially for this chapter, came from Ratchet and Clank; absolutely love the city environments in that game.
Also fun fact: I typically listen to podcasts while drawing. I used to listen to narrative ones at this point, and one of my primary memories while working on this page was listening to Starblaster cycles of Adventure Zone Balance.
Your otherworldly looks are incredible!
This page was a DOOZY, especially since it was still back in the traditional page days. While I do regret that we don’t really get to see much of the city in the first chapter, I certainly wouldn’t have missed the extra work needed in filling out the backgrounds for it.
The city looks wonderful! I want to move there. 😀
HARD SAME. I missed seeing versions of the future that were colorful, inviting, and full of wonder. So I’ve done my best to bring that out to the readers!
